Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada at repeated second reading backed bill on the National Commission on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER).
The terms of rotation of commission members and delegation of representatives of various power branches to the nomination panel to select members of the commission were discussed most of all.
The adoption of this law was within the obligation of Ukraine to the Energy Community Treaty.
Earlier, the EU urged the Ukrainian Parliament to support this law as a condition for granting the second tranche of macro-financial assistance of 600 million euros.
