Police open 'hooliganism' probe after spat between MPs Parasiuk and Vilkul

The head of the National Police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze has said that police have opened a criminal case on suspected hooliganism involving Verkhovna Rada deputies Volodymyr Parasiuk and Oleksandr Vilkul.The altercation occurred late on September 22 evening at the 112 TV Channel following a joint interview between the MPs. Following the program, Parasiuk confronted Vilkul and his bodyguards. Parasiuk later kicked Vilkul's automobile and attempted to break a door of the car. He then scrawled expletives on the hood of the vehicle with a key.The incident has been entered into the register of criminal investigations under Part 2 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. An investigation is underway," the police statement says.
