The European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will vote today without discussing the report on granting Ukraine visa-free regime and the mandate to start negotiations between the EU institutions.
As expected, the vote will be held by the Georgian scenario when the amendments meant to reject the EU proposal to abolish visas for Georgia, did not find the necessary number of votes, whereas the report was supported by 44 votes, with 5 votes against.
On April 20, the European Commission proposed the European Parliament and the Council of the EU to introduce visa requirements for Ukraine, because the state fulfilled all requirement needed for this.
Voting for a visa-free Ukraine will take place without discussion.
