The organization representing beer breweries Ukrpyvo estimates a possible fall in the production of beer in Ukraine exceeding 5% - to 180 million dcl in 2016.
The decreased output is a result of increased tax burdens on producers and excise taxes, as well as license requirements for wholesale beer trade amounting to UAH 500,000.
Possession of a license for wholesale sale of beer is felt by small and medium-sized producers with a wholesale sales network, as well as by distributors. Some of them have left the market.
