Positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas have come under fire 40 times in the past 24 hours, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters said .Twenty-four violations of the ceasefire were recorded in the sector near the Ukrainian-controlled strategic port city of Mariupol, where large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms were fired on the villages of Hnutove, Vodiane and Hranytne. Anti-aircraft guns, machine guns and 82mm mortars were used to shell the towns of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, and the village of Pavlopil, the press center said. Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk sector came under fire 13 times, and strikes using machine guns continued there, it said.Instances of shelling were recorded near the village of Zaitseve and the town of Avdiyivka, the press center said.
