“The agreement will improve our business relations. In practical terms, it will create opportunities for entrepreneurs from Canada and Ukraine to cooperate more actively and will promote economic development of both countries,” Mihychuk said. According to the minister, the agreement with Ukraine for the first time envisages a part on labour rights. In particular, the agreement guarantees a certain level of labour standards, the elimination of children labour etc. “This agreement is an example for our next trade agreements,” the minister said. As we have reported, the free trade agreement was signed by the two countries’ prime ministers in July, and submitted to the parliaments of both for ratification in September.
