“Currently, the Odesa-Kremenchuk pipeline contains the Russian oil Urals. Kremenchuk oil refinery cannot produce Euro-5 gasoline by using this oil. Therefore, in cooperation with Ukrtransnafta, Ukrnafta intends to arrange the delivery of the Azerbaijani oil Azeri,” the report states. According to Naftogaz, this offers new opportunities for Kremenchuk oil refinery and an additional business area for Ukrtransnafta, resulting in revenues, new jobs and growing tax payments. “However, the oil contained in pipelines is part of Ukrtransnafta's fixed assets, and a permit from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is needed to replace Urals with Azeri,” the press service noted.
