Heavy rains that began on the eve in the Transcarpathia provoked sharp rise in water levels in major rivers of the area. Peak rainfall is expected on November 7 night, and the highest lifting of water in the rivers is forecasted on November 7 and November 8.
Previously, forecasters warned of heavy rains and gusts of wind in the western regions during November 6-7, as well as of the threat of mudflows formation in the Carpathians. On November 8 a storm warning is also announced in Kyiv.
