Kyiv reports 24 militant attacks on Ukrainian army positions over past day

Ukrainian army positions in Donbas came under 24 attacks by the militants over the past day, the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) staff said.The militants fired 122mm tube artillery mostly in Maripol and Donetsk sectors.The Ukrainian Armed Forces' servicemen repelled an attempt to drive them away from their positions in the Svitlodarsk arc area  in a two-hour battle on December 18, the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters in Kyiv.The Ukrainian Armed Forces have also sustained some losses: five servicemen killed, six - injured (four lightly injured, two have got moderately severe injuries), the headquarters said.
