President signs moratorium on state control in business activity for 2017

President Petro Poroshenko has signed Law of Ukraine No.1728-VIII “on temporary peculiarities of exercising state oversight (control) in the sphere of economic activity,” which was approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on November 3, 2016, the president’s press service reports."The law sets a moratorium till December 31, 2017 on carrying out planned measures by the government controlling authorities to implement the state oversight (control) in the sphere of economic activity,” reads the report. The document also stipulates certain grounds and cases where state oversight is to be carried out.
