Environmentalists again appeal to Parliament

Environmentalists urged the Parliament as soon as possible to pass a law on the protection of the Carpathian virgin forests and old-growth forests. Many of these sites are within forestries and have no conservation status and, therefore, may at any time be destroyed . According to experts, in Europe virgin forests have survived only in the Carpathian Mountains, the Balkans and northern Russia.
