President Poroshenko to pay visit to Berlin on Jan. 30

"Next Monday, January 30, Chancellor [Angela Merkel] will welcome President Petro Poroshenko at her office," Deputy German government spokesperson Ulrike Demmer said on Friday. According to her, the parties will discuss bilateral relations and promotion of the peace process, the current progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements on settling the eastern Ukraine conflict. In addition, the leaders will talk about the domestic economic situation in Ukraine and Ukraine-EU relations, particularly, in the energy sector.
