From February 1 Ukrainians will feel the real decline in prices for certain groups of medicines, including drugs for diabetes, asthma and hypertension. This is the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman assured on one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
He also said that this year the Cabinet earmarked nearly UAH 6 billion for the purchase of medicines, that will take place through the international organizations.
The Ministry of Health as part of ongoing health reform in the country determined the procedure for establishing maximum prices and trade margins on medicines for their active substance that comes into force on 1 February 2017.
Reference price of drugs is set depending on the prices for the same drug in five neighboring countries - Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Latvia.
