Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, leader of the People's Front party Arseniy Yatsenyuk has stated he has no intention to become head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
This was stated by him on the air of the "Freedom of Speech" program on ICTV Channel.
Yatsenyuk is convinced that the NBU head must be completely apolitical figure and now it should be a professional economist and banker.Previously, a number of media reported the alleged resignation of NBU Govenor Valeria Gontareva and possible appointment to the post of Yatsenyuk, but in the NBU denied this information.
