Poroshenko approves ratification of agreement with EU on Ukraine's participation in COSME

The ratification of the COSME agreement will allow Ukraine to implement projects in the following program areas: improving the access of small and medium-sized enterprises to markets, improving conditions for competitiveness, formation of business doing culture. The Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME) is a European program of support for small and medium-sized businesses. The ratification of the agreement will provide Ukrainian public and private sector enterprises with access to financing both from the program budget and from EU investment and venture funds. The Verkhovna Rada ratified this agreement on February 22. The program is implemented within the framework of the Europe-2020 strategy and approved by the EU regulation council on December 11, 2013. It is designed for the period of 2014-2020, its total budget is EUR2.3 billion.
