83 militants' attacks, two Ukrainian troops killed in past day

The separatists launched 83 attacks on the government troops in the past day, army operation press centre reported on Thursday. Their attacks included the use of heavy arms. They shelled the Ukrainian forces with artillery, mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Most attacks are reported near the strategic government-controlled seaport Mariupol near the border with Russia, and in the vicinity of separatist-held Donetsk. More attacks are reported around the militant-controlled Luhansk. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and three were wounded in the hostilities in the past 24 hours, according to the report.
