Ukraine President, EPP President agree efforts to increase pressure on Russia

“The two leaders coordinated efforts to increase international pressure on Russia due to its recent illegal actions destabilizing the situation in Donbas,” reads the report. The EPP President reaffirmed commitment to support Ukraine and stressed that the EU sanctions against Russia must remain in place until Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, including Crimea, are fully restored. Besides, the parties discussed prospects of completing the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as the introduction of the visa-free regime with the EU for Ukrainians.
