A third of Russians believe that civil rights may sometimes be infringed for the sake of state interests (24%) or are even ready to put state interests above rights of an individual (10%), Levada Analytical Center says.Yet nearly half of Russians (47%) maintain that every person is entitled to fight for one's rights even if this disagrees with state interests.
Thirteen percent of 1,600 respondents polled in 137 populated localities in 48 regions on March 2-6 insist that rights of an individual are always more important than interests of the state.
