Escalation in Donbas: 8 WIAs amid 85 enemy attacks in past day

The separatists launched 85 attacks on the government troops in the past day, army operation press centre reported on Wednesday. Their attacks included the use of heavy arms. They shelled the Ukrainian forces using mortars, multiple rocket launchers, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Most attacks are reported near the strategic government-controlled seaport Mariupol near the border with Russia, and in the vicinity of separatist-held Donetsk. More attacks are reported around the militant-controlled Luhansk. Eight Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the hostilities in the past 24 hours, the report said.
