In Kyiv, on the night of June 27, at the 65th year of life died well-known Ukrainian graphic artist Sergiy Yakutovich. Among his most famous creative works are illustrations to 160 editions, including up to 17 volumes of modern Ukrainian literature. The artist also took an active part in the creation of Yuriy Illenko's film "Prayer for Hetman Mazepa" and the TV films "Still when we were Cossacks", "Lost Paradise", "Taras Bulba".
Sergey Yakutovych was born in the middle of the last century in a family of artists. His father, Georgy Yakutovich, is an outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist, also known for his work in cinema, including in the film "The Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" by Sergei Paradzhanov.
