Today, according to the UN, the population of the Earth is more than 7.5 billion people and already in 2050 can reach 10 billion.
The number of Ukrainian citizens (excluding the temporarily occupied Crimea and the zone of hostilities in the Donbas) as of January 1, 2017 amounts to 42.5 million. This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Such a demographic situation is worrying, because such indicators were recorded on the eve of the Second World War, said Olexander Gladun, deputy director of the Ptuha Institute of Demography and Social Studiesof under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
