The Obolonsky District Court in Kyiv has adjourned until 10:00 a.m. on August 3 the trial of Ukraine's former president Viktor Yanukovych, who is suspected of high treason, to enable his new attorney Vitaliy Meshechek to become familiar with the case materials.
Yanukovych's lawyers Vitaliy Serdyuk and Igor Fedorenko announced their withdrawal from the trial last week.Vitaliy Meshechek was provided as a public defender to Yanukovych by the Kyiv Regional Centre for Legal Aid.
