Despite the promise of the authorities to disclose this crime, the perpetrators of the tragedy have not yet been named.
Note: Pavel Sheremet was born and raised in Belarus. Worked as a journalist on Belarusian television. Subsequently, due to a conflict with the authorities, he moved to Russia, where he found work on the ORT channel. For the last five years, Pavel Sheremet has lived in Ukraine, where he worked as a journalist of the "Ukrainska Pravda"online publication and the host of radio "Vesti". On the eve of the tragedy, Sheremet was investigating an offshore scandal and was known for his principled position on corruption.
Recall: a car belonging to Olena Prytula, the head of the Ukrayinska Pravda online publication, was blown up while Sheremet was driving it in the center of Kyiv at 7:45 a.m. on July 20, 2016. The journalist died on the spot soon after the explosion. Investigators said they believed that Sheremet was killed due to his journalistic activity in Ukraine and other countries.
