The heads of state will discuss the development of political, trade and economic and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine.
The major focus will be placed on the current state and the prospects of cooperation in economy, including in such areas as trade, investments, industrial cooperation, the petrochemical industry, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, the development of interregional dialogue. The parties are also expected to coordinate the approaches to the further development of cross-border cooperation, the press service said.
One of the subjects of the meeting will be the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, in which Belarus is actively participating, providing a negotiating venue for the parties involved in the process, it said.
Lukashenko and Poroshenko will discuss the situation in the region overall and exchange views on international issues.
A number of documents regarding cooperation in various fields are expected to be signed in the presence of the leaders of two countries following negotiations.
