The headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have approved the use of basic 3G towers in Zhytomyr and Berdychiv by Ukrainian mobile communications operators, the Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) has reported.
"O July 26 residents of Zhytomyr will be able to use 3G, " UCRF Executive Director Vadym Hulko told Interfax-Ukraine.He said that the headquarters also approved the use of 3G technology in Berdychiv. Hulko said that Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell submitted applications for the launch of 3G in this town.3G communications in Zhytomyr will be launched in the near term after receiving the permits.
