US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that Russia demonstrates "certain readiness" to to discuss the Ukraine settlement.
He said this after meeting with the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov in Manila, reports "AP".
"According to Tillerson, the United States intends to coordinate its actions with all parties involved in the conflict in the east of Ukraine," the statement said. At the same time, the US Secretary of State confirmed the existence of profound differences with Russia, including Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Special Representative of the U.S. Department of State for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker is to meet with Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov shortly.
