On August 7 and August 12, in Ukraine under favorable weather it will be possible to observe two interesting astronomical phenomena: the lunar eclipse and the Perseids.

On the night of August 8, one can observe a partial shadow lunar eclipse. The shadow of the Earth "will cover " the southern quarter of the full Moon, and the illuminated part of the satellite near the edge of the shadow will become red. The whole process will take about two hours, the eclipse will be best visible at 23:20. To notice the beginning of a partial eclipse can be possible about an hour before its maximum, at 22:23. On the night from August 12 to August 13, another astronomical phenomenon will be observed in the sky - the maximum of the activity of the Perseids meteor rain.
