Situation in eastern Ukraine war zone relatively calm

"The situation was rather stable during the day. The Russian mercenaries significantly reduced their activity and fired mostly small arms at the positions of ATO forces. No Ukrainian servicemen were killed or wounded over the past 24 hours. As we reported earlier Ukrainian and Russian negotiators agreed to reinstate new ceasefire on 1 September.  The OSCE SMM also a marked decrease in fighting in Donetsk and in Luhansk over 29 and 30 August. On both sides of the contact line the SMM observed schools being repaired in preparation for the start of the school year.
