NBU to boost international reserves to $38 bln in four years

"The level of our international reserves has reached $12.6 billion. We have very ambitious plans for the end of the year: we plan to reach $18 billion and in four years we want to reach the level of $38 billion, which has never happened in our country," she said. According to Gontareva, financial stability in Ukraine will be promoted by the government coordinating the terms of foreign debt restructuring on Eurobonds and the further reform of the banking system. Gontareva said that the NBU has completed the first stage of reforming the financial sector - cleansing the banking system, and is now moving to the second stage rebooting the system. As reported, the NBU's international reserves in August 2015 increased by $2.24 billion, or 21.6%, to $12.62 billion, returning to the level of late October 2014.
