Moscow's Arbitration Court has rejected a lawsuit from Germany's Siemens against OJSC Technopromexport and LLC Technopromexport, which belong to Rostec, regarding what Siemens says is the illegal transfer of its turbines to Crimea, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom.
The court also rejected a counterclaim from the Technoexport companies against Siemens.
Recall, on July 5 Reuters reported that Russia sent to the Crimea gas turbines of the German concern Siemens, despite the EU sanctions. Concern Siemens denied supplying turbines to Crimea.
Later, the CEO of the Russian partner Siemens was dismissed. The Russian company acknowledged the supply of modernized Siemens turbines to Crimea.
Subsequently, new sanctions against Russia were approved by the EU through Siemens turbines. It was also reported that Russia threatened Siemens with sanctions due to EU restrictions
On September 24, Siemens announced changes in the work with Russian customers after the supply of turbines to Crimea.
Sanctions that prohibit European companies from working in the Crimea were adopted in 2014 after the annexation of the peninsula.
