“You had two stages of honest elections, you preserved the country's unity, you stopped project "Novorossiya." Mariupol, Kramatorsk and Sloviansk remained Ukrainian cities. You reached an agreement with the IMF and secured debt restructuring under conditions better than anyone had expected”, Nuland said at the 12th Yalta European Strategy meeting recently held in Kyiv. She said that Ukrainian authorities managed to create a basis for economic growth while also making changes to the banking system. However, she said, a lot of work remains to be done, including overcoming corruption and cleansing the judicial system. Nuland added that the U.S. will continue to support Ukraine.
