US, Ukraine begin final stage of Fearless Guardian-2015 military exercise in Lviv

"Each stage of the exercise involves training National Guard servicemen as instructors so they can pass on the gained experience. Subsequently they will conduct training already within their own units," the National Guard spokesperson said on its Facebook page on Tuesday. Ihor Vikhasty, a senior officer at the National Guard's moral and psychological support division, said the third stage of the exercise involves a total of 235 personnel from the Central and Western operative-territorial unit. The third stage involves training 20 guardsmen as instructors, the spokesperson said. First Lieutenant Daniel Lantz of the 153rd Airmobile Brigade of the U.S Armed Forces told a press conference in Lviv on Tuesday that the third stage will be similar to the previous ones and that practice sessions are designed to train small units and to hone their skills and tactics.
