Poroshenko invites Abbott to join advisory council of reforms

The Head of State stated this during the telephone conversation with Tony Abbott, the press service of the President reports. "The President invited Tony Abbott to join the Advisory International Council of Reforms and make a visit to Ukraine at his convenience," reads the statement. The interlocutors noted that due to their joint efforts, the Ukrainian-Australian relations had entered the new stage of dynamic development, as the visit of the Ukrainian President to Australia in December 2014 had contributed to this significantly and the arrangements reached following the negotiations had confirmed mutual willingness of the two countries to further enhance mutually beneficial cooperation. Poroshenko also expressed gratitude to Australia for consistent and resolute support for the Ukrainian nation in defending sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, confronting the external aggressor and implementing the internal reforms necessary for the development of modern and democratic Ukraine.
