Heavenly Hundred is the name for over a hundred people who fell victim in the last days of the Euromaidan revolution in February 2014. "A memorial in the form of a Cossack cross made of stainless steel with images of small crosses on it should remind [all who see it] of the numerous acts of bravery by each of these patriots," Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said on her Facebook page. She said that the monument was made possible thanks to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which blessed the monument on Sunday. Jaresko also noted that the U.S. authorities have installed signs which provide directions to the monument.
