Constitutional Court chair Baulin returns to work after car accident

"Mr Baulin has been doing his [work] since September 21, and he has started fulfilling his duties already," the press service of the Constitutional Court told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday. As reported, on July 2, a Toyota Camry car collided with a Nissan car after crossing into the oncoming lane at the 320th km of the Kyiv-Kharkiv road in Poltava region. Baulin was a passenger in the Toyota, the other vehicle was carrying a family of four, three of whom died. After the accident, Baulin was taken to M. Sklifosovsky Poltava regional clinical hospital with numerous internal injuries and craniocerebral trauma. A criminal proceeding was opened under Part 3, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety or transport operation rules by drivers if their actions caused deaths of two or more people). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Baulin’s driver subsequently died in N. Sklifosovsky Poltava regional clinical hospital.
