Poroshenko, McCain discuss situation in Donbas

The President expressed gratitude for the active support of the U.S. Senate for our country in confronting Russian aggression. He also noted personal efforts of John McCain in the issues of military assistance for Ukraine. The Head of State informed on the intention to discuss the situation in Donbas at the meetings with leaders of the EU and G7 within his participation in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly. The U.S. Senator praised the efforts of the Ukrainian party on further settlement of the conflict. He also condemned the plans of Russian militants to conduct fake elections in Donbas.
