The largest companies in Germany, including DHL International, Robert Bosch LTD, Metro Cash & Carry, BSM Bosch and Siemens Home Appliance Group and others, took part in the meeting. Participants commended the high motivation demonstrated by the government for implementing reforms and positive experience of cooperating with the central executive branch. However, the German representatives noted that the worst times were over, and some companies even started expanding their production facilities in Ukraine. When talking about foreign trade, representatives of German businesses reported the high percentage of customs clearance of imports which they estimate at more than 80%. "This is a very good signal. We hope that the business forum will be an additional impulse for the expansion of German businesses in Ukraine," said Alexander Markus, the delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Ukraine. Representatives of German companies believe Ukraine has a great potential in the manufacturing of auto parts, chemicals and agriculture.
