The press service of the airport told Interfax-Ukraine that this decision was caused by a large debt being owed to the airport. The airport has not disclosed the sum of the debt. As reported, Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport continues to service Transaero as the airlines has paid debt to the airport according to the repayment schedule. The company was supposed to pay off the July debt in the amount of $127,485 by September 28, which it did. In addition, the company owes the airport $319,337 for services in August and must repay this debt in two tranches by October 5 and October 12 respectively. Transaero also has a debt to Kyiv airport for September in the amount of $202,432 and also must repay it in two tranches by October 19 and October 26. As of September 23, 2015, the debt of Transaero to Kyiv airport stood at $649,254.
