The Verkhovna Rada passed a law under which the military can sign contracts of 6 months.
As explained by one of the authors of the document, MP Tatyana Chornovil, demobilization began in September, but many young men would like to continue service, by teaching beginners, however the current law allows to sign a contract only of three years.
Meanwhile Tatiana Chornovol clarified: a short-term contract of six months can be signed only by a soldier who has served at least 11 months.
It was emphasized that this law does not change the conditions of termination of the contract, that remain the same as in current legislation.
