Almost 1,400 mines and explosives were defused by Ukrainian sappers over the past week in the conflict zone, said a spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Olexiy Chornobay.
Overall, he said, from the beginning of the ATO Ukrainian soldiers managed to defuse more than 20,000 mines and explosives laid by the pro-Russian terrorist units.
