Britain urged to recognize Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainian people – petition

The petition was officially registered on the government website. According to the statement, the Holodomor was engineered by the Soviet government. Seven and a half million people died of starvation over a period of one year. Twenty Five countries have currently recognised this as an act of genocide, as defined by the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.
