Feb 20 official date of Crimea occupation, Poroshenko signs law

"The President of Ukraine signed the law of Ukraine on amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning the determination of the start date of temporary occupation of September 15, 2015. The law stipulates that the start date of the temporary occupation is February 20, 2014," the statement said. The changes were made in order to clarify the start date of temporary occupation, resolve conflicts and disagreements on this issue and coordination with international law to protect the rights of the state, citizens and legal entities.
