EU welcomes local government reform in Ukraine

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said this, while delivering speech at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels. "We welcome the efforts of Ukraine to conduct constitutional reform, fiscal decentralization, to prepare for uniting small towns and villages in more permanent communities," the EU High Representative said. She noted that those reforms would provide stability, strength and independence of Ukraine.
