All was quiet in Donbas overnight, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to continue pulling back weapons with calibers under 100mm, the army operation press center has said.
"The same as the previous night, this one passed without violations of the Minsk agreements. The Ukrainian army continues to withdraw armaments with calibers under 100mm. Tanks were pulled back from the contact line in the Mariupol sector yesterday. Today our combat vehicles will be moved at least 15 kilometers away in the Donetsk area," says the report posted on Facebook on October 22 morning.
The lull makes it possible to focus on the restoration of Donbas infrastructures, the press center said.
"This is the focus of attention of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). Power lines, water mains, telecommunications and lots of other [utilities] are being rebuilt. Telephone service, both mobile and fixed lines, has been restored in Kurakhove. Its [telephone service] restoration works are in progress in other districts," the report said.
Sappers are constantly receiving requests for demining civilian sites.
