NGOs warn against opposition actions during religious procession

Kyiv NGOs urged activists not to resort to violent confrontation with members of religious procession of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate, scheduled in the capital on 27 July. They emphasize it is exactly what the Russian special services want in order to further put Ukraine in an unfavorable light before the Western powers. Last week, the Ukrainian secret service said that Russian special services try to use this procession to destabilize the situation in Ukraine to deepen the split in society on religious grounds.
