The minister said that the agreements were reached during his recent trip to the United States. Nasalyk reiterated that at present Russia supplies almost 95% of nuclear fuel to Ukrainian nuclear power plants (NPPs). The minister specified that Westinghouse is ready to discuss building a nuclear fuel plant in Ukraine. There are 4 active nuclear power plants and 15 reactors in Ukraine. They have been mostly running on Russian fuel in the past years. Currently, two reactors in Ukraine use American fuel made by Westinghouse.
