Cabinet of Ministers extends emergency situation in energy for one more month

As reported, the decree on temporary introduction of emergency measures in the national electricity market enabled Ukraine to reduce the consumption of anthracite coal by thermal power plants and increase the consumption of nuclear power. Anthracite supplies from the eastern Ukraine parts not controlled by the government were disrupted by the activists’ economic blockade of the area in December. Since March, after a decree by the National Security and Defence Council, this blockade was adopted on the state level.
