Over 90 e-petitions filed to Cabinet on first day of service

Some 91 electronic declarations (e-petitions) were submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the first day the service was launched, according to data appearing on the site.

The proposal on creating an open online register of government employees to evaluate their work was the most popular proposal, with 131 citizens in supporting the motion. The petition on the necessity of adopting a law for sorting and processing garbage received 117 signatures and a petition to double salaries and pension payments received 86 signatures. Some 80 users of the service support reevaluating tariffs for natural gas to households and 61 people supporting a motion to conduct elections electronically.

As earlier reported, the electronic petition service on the government's web portal was launched on August 29. Some 25,000 signatures over three months is the minimum for a proposal to be reviewed by the government.
