The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is checking e-declarations of 20 officials and politicians who mentioned in their e-declarations the largest sums in cash, NABU Director Artem Sytnyk has said.He again proposed to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) to use technical opportunities of the Bureau to check electronic declarations of officials and politicians. As he said, 10 or 15 people from NACP could start working in the Bureau. In his opinion, NACP employees could use technical opportunities of NABU and get access to the registers of the Justice Ministry, Interior Ministry and other agencies when they examine e-declarations. NACP does not have these resources today.
He said that if grounds appear information will be added to the register of pretrial investigations.
Sytnyk said that there would be more applications to NABU after expiration of the seven-day period permitting amending e-declarations.
