The exploration area is the northwestern shelf of the Black Sea,” the report states. The Iskatel vessel is resuming marine geological and geophysical research operations after a three-year break. According to the Ukrainian State Service for Geology and Mineral Resources, the southern part of the country is the least investigated and the most promising area, and just 4% of the Black Sea shelf has been explored.
